Republican presidential candidate Bill Weld, a former Massachusetts governor, will speak to voters at Tuscan Kitchen in Salem.
SALEM, NH — The Tuscan Kitchen in Salem is scheduled to host Republican presidential candidate Bill Weld next month. Weld, a former two-term governor of Massachusetts, will speak to Salem-area voters on Friday, Aug. 23, as he challenges President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination. His Salem visit will take place during a coffee and networking event held by the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce.
The event is free and open to the public, and local business people are encouraged to attend. It will begin with coffee and networking from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m., followed by Weld’s appearance from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. According to the Chamber, the goal is to help voters make informed decisions when it’s time to elect the next president of the United States. Weld’s visit is being organized in partnership with the Greater Salem Rotary group.
